Penelope Delaripoirto crowned Miss Transgender Ambassador 2019

Namibia’s first Miss Transgender Ambassador ready to fulfil her role.

Saturday night Ella Du Plessis was packed to the core with people from various parts of life who came and witnessed the crowning of the first-ever Miss Trans Ambassador 2019. 11 contestants from different towns in Namibia took part in this prestigious event. Penelope Delaripoirto from Keetmanshoop was crowned Miss Trans Ambassador 2019 as well as Miss Photogenic alongside her two princesses, Brihanna Vries as first runner up and Riri Klukoskwi as second runner up.

It is the duty of Miss Trans Ambassador 2019 to create visibility for the trans persons, motivate, raise awareness on issues affecting the transgender community as well as surpass societal norms and social exclusion for transgender persons.

She is also expected to represent Namibia in Thailand next year at the Miss Transgender world pageant. The night was also of witness to Nicole Smith being crowned Miss Public Choice the beautiful Te Amor Ramuch took Miss Personality, Miss Interview Skills, and Social Responsibility was given to Ziggy Eixas.
