Here is a list of all the local entertainment events that were scheduled to take place within the next 30 days and are now rescheduled.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak which has reached Namibian soil, the entertainment industry is hit hard as some of the events scheduled to take place within the next 30 days were postponed. This follows the president’s announcement that with efforts to contain the virus, no public gatherings are to take place till further notice. These events include the Ngandu festival which was scheduled for 10 and 11 April 2020.
“The health and safety of our patrons are of utmost importance and as such, we’ve taken this course of action, “said the event management team in a press release issued recently. They assured that the new dates will be announced and communicated.
Meanwhile, Burna boy African Giant tour Namibia scheduled for 4 April 2020, an event which Namibians eagerly awaited for, has been rescheduled too and according to the management team, the new date will be communicated in due course after consultation with stakeholders.
“We are excited to say the African Giant tour is still coming to Namibia, hence we want to assure the public who purchased tickets that their tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date and we will issue refunds for those unable to attend,” said the management team. They further sent prayers to the land of the brave amidst the pandemic.
Amongst those that issued the press releases for the event postponement is the Dolphin Park Aqua Fest scheduled for 10 to 12. April 2020, The 30th independence concert scheduled for 21st March 2020, Let’s Unite Fest and Kasi Vibe Namibia Easter edition. They all assured that new dates will be announced and communicated in due course.
