Former Miss Zambezi 2018 winner, Tracy Elijah is contributing in her little way albeit with great rewards to keep the pageant going in the future.
The beauty queen said preparations for this year’s pageant are at an advanced stage and organisers are pulling all stops to have a bigger and better show. “This will be the 3rd Miss Zambezi pageant and we always want to at least have a minimum of 10 girls and maximum of 15, ” she said.
The former beauty queen has also noted that, “The industry is not for the faint hearted so you could have a vibrant Miss Zambezi or a passive one , a vibrant will know that it’s not about being crowned Miss Zambezi but what you can do with that title. Hence we create the opportunity and give exposure. However, how the winner utilizes the opportunity is usually up to them, but we do engage Miss Zambezi with community activities.”
Elijah also revealed that a selection criterion for finalist has been released and those that feel they meet the requirements are free to apply.
“We are not looking for perfection we are looking for potentials too, so applications are open to every one but selection solely lies on requirements. “
