Robyn Nakaambo shares hacked Instagram account ordeal

“I couldn’t fathom why a person would do this for nudes or money,” Robyn Nakaambo

It seems like the hacking bug has caught up with us as Namibian personality has been hit. This has been concerning news from South African celebrities for the past few months with the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Bongang, and Babes Wodumo being victims. Public relations officer, MC, and TV presenter Robyn Nakaambo had her Instagram account hacked at 16H00 on Friday but luckily she got it back yesterday. A very annoyed Robyn shared her ordeal with her followers in a series of stories on the same platform.

“It feels amazing to be back. Cybercrime is high guys, I underestimated it. Somebody send me an email from Instagram and after that, the person got hold of my account and they texted me wanting money and nudes,” she said.

Robyn said she fought hard to get the account back because of what she uses it for. The star who does not follow anyone has 67.7K followers and over 6000 posts.

“All in all, it was never about followers. It was more about the base that I created, I worked so hard on creating such a good brand and this page is me basically. It is the platform I use to inspire the youth in becoming better and achieving their ultimate purpose,” said the Whata Lifestyle presenter.

Robyn then shared messages of demand from her hacker and confessed that she did not sleep a wink in an attempt of getting the account back.

“God favors the purest at heart. Thank you for those who helped me get my account back. I think I should throw a party for you all,” she joked.

She also shared safety tips with her fans cautioning them not to easily get trapped.

“Moral of the story is that people will send fishing smses or emails that prompt you to provide certain things like your personal details. I am sharing my story with you guys so you don’t have to go through what I did,” she concluded.
