21-year-old Phillip Petrus better known as Sesfikile is certainly one of the raw talents to watch for the future.
Although still new in the music industry it seems they don’t call him the last born of amapiano for nothing.
He is currently riding the wave with his hit singles, the Yanos and 21 days Corona featuring Buti Vuttion and Manxebe.
Born and bred in the north he started his career in 2017. Sesfikile describes his music as a fusion of kwaito, afro-pop and Amapiano.
“I tried to be different and bring the sounds back to my roots, ” he said.
“As my good friend, Buti Vuitton told me as a musician you don’t stick to one. You follow the ears, what the majority is listening to. We are here to entertain, to update the youth with the latest genre,” he said.
He also added, “Expect nothing but fire, I will make sure to please my people’s ears, make them happy and give them more reason to believe in me.”
