Hip-Hop aficionado and rapper Skrypt has his eyes set on performing at the Namibian Annual Music Awards 2019 (NAMA).
The Hip-hop heavyweight and punchline superstar manifested his wish to perform at the NAMAs in a recent tweet. ” I have a beautiful performance lined up for the NAMAs. I probably won’t perform or win. But I still have this performance ready just in case,” he shared on Twitter.
Skrypt has an imaginative and creative way of weaving words together and is an amazing storyteller, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise if indeed he performs at NAMAs 2019. We hope MTC and NBC are taking notes.
The MC has had a pretty good 2018 and 2019 performing across the country and living his best. In 2018 Skrypt arguably dropped one of the most retrospective Hip-hop projects in Namibia called For The Wait and the project catapulted him into the mainstream Namibian music scene. He dominated local radio stations and streaming sites with his popular jams such as Ndjiraraera, Be Like this and his infectious hit song No Going Back. In 2018 alone he collaborated with music heavyweights such as DJ Kbozz and Big Ben.
His for the wait project was streamed for 19, 799 times on SoundCloud and 4 833 times on YouTube making one of the most streamed Hip-hop projects for Namibia in 2018.
