Songs you should know by Tiwa Savage, D’banj and Master KG

The 30th Independence Celebrations concert is set to have music lovers and enthusiasts thrilled to an array of over fifteen superstars on 21 March at the Dr Hage Geingob stadium.

Three top music stars from both Nigeria and South Africa will get to perform live, alongside local artists, at the concert.

Gracing the 30th Independence Celebrations concert stage is the Number one African Bad Girl, Tiwa Savage. Tiwa is an accomplished Nigerian singer and songwriter who has performed around the world, inclusive of a notable performance at Jay-Zs Made In America festival in Philadelphia in 2017.

The Eminado singer has a unique and sophisticated style of music that gets her taunted as ‘Rihanna’ of Africa.

Known to be the Queen of Afrobeats, Tiwa’s accolades include being crowned as Best African Act by the MTV European Music Awards in 2018, making history as the first African female to win the accolade.

Fans are set to dance to some All Over, Ma Lo and Eminado tunes.

South African musician and producer Master KG will also get to entertain fans at the concert.

The Jerusalem hitmaker has been churning out electrifying hits ever since his debut album Skeleton Move in 2018. Some of his notable songs include Skeleton Move popularly known as Remember the road that will lead you home, Waya Waya, Situation and Jesu Wa Makatsa.

Some of these songs had Master KG snag a number of nominations and awards both locally and internationally including a notable win at the sixth annual African Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimma) as the Best Male Southern Africa in 2019. He has also bagged the Best Group in the African electro at the Afrima Awards in 2018.

Tiwa Savage and Master KG had previously shared a stage at the 6th edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) Music Village in 2018,

D’Banj

Nigerian Afrobeats legend D’Banj will also be treating fans to an arresting experience.

Internationally known for his 2012 summer hit ‘Oliver Twist’ and ‘Fall in Love’ D’Banj is the first African to sign for Kanye West’s G.O.O.D label.

D’Banj has won several music awards, including the Best-selling African Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards and the Evolution award at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards.

To attend the concert, tickets are available at Webtickets for N$50.
