Steffi van Wyk-Brink reflects on Survivors journey

Former Miss Namibia speaks on what season 7 of Island of Secretes has taught her and plans going forward.

After taking part in one of the biggest reality TV show on the continent, Mnet’s Survivors South Africa: Island of Secretes 2019, former miss Namibia 2015 Steffi van Wyk-Brink took to her Instagram account after being the fourth to be eliminated to thank all her supporters for standing with her throughout this journey.

“It’s the first week since survivor is not airing today and it feels weird, because the journey might be over but the memories still linger, I thank all my supporters for all the support as well as the people who sent messages whom I have not yet responded to because I love to make deep connections with people and that there has to be time. Survivor has taught me a lot but mostly it has taught me more about people,” Van Wyk-Brink said.

“Acknowledging your flaws and working towards them can be hard, but it also gives people less power over hurting you and it avoids being used against you in your moment of weakness, I really loved this journey because I did some self-discovery as well as found greater self-love and it has taught me a lot I am grateful” she said.
“I am busy packing, I don’t know where I am going from here but I am going,” she added.
