Season one of ‘The Search Namibia’ a reality TV show aimed at creating exposure for new talent has officially come to an end and their first winner, RODA, will be taking home a whooping N$ 100 000.

According to Public Relations manager Ndapewa Ambambi the first season has lived up to the expectations of the public. “ This the first show of its kind in Namibia, a music show that welcomes all vocalists from all different genres. I definitely think everyone was catered for, but due to COVID, we got limited to doing certain things and we had to improvise but there’s always room for improvement. I mean, this was just season one and we lived up to our own expectations of the show with limited resources,” Ambambi said.

She added that the importance of having such a show is to entertain the public and also fill the entertainment gap in the industry. “There’s so much entertainment that comes about and dies out but we wanted to do something different and the response we got from the public has been more than positive and moving forward, we plan on continuing with the show and not dying out as well as broaden out in the future,” she said.
RODA will be receiving his cash prize within the next month and the runner-ups will get absolutely nothing. The show is set for another season which will be communicated in due time.

“We have set a trend and the search is a unique show on its own and we are most definitely on another level. Team work definitely makes the dream work and it has been nothing but amazing,” Ambambi concluded.
