Do you have a natural talent and passion for singing? Are you excited about an opportunity to display your talent?
If your answer is yes to all of these questions, then you could walk away with N$ 10 000, a record deal, Shure microphone package and a marketing and promotion deal.
Covid-19 lockdown sparked an idea for voice search contest. Voice Perfect contest aims to finding vocally talented Namibian individuals for an opportunity to realize their dreams. .
“We focused our radar on singers because we believe there are a lot of Namibians who are good singers but have no chance or platform to showcase their talent. Therefore, with Voice Perfect, these individuals will be able to show Namibia and Africa their God given gifts, ” said Laurentius Haindaka, a representative of the contest.
The contest has no limit to the number of entrants. According to the organizers, the primary stages of the contest will be hosted online until things ease up. However, the finale is planned to be in person with a live band.
“We are planning to make it an annual contest because we believe that a once off thing will counteract our motion. Our aim is to help Namibian singers with their singing careers and help them penetrate the music industry,” said Haindaka.
Since its announcement the contest has received positive feedback from the public. This, according to the organizers, is a good thing because the public will determine the winner by voting for their favorites. However, judges will help with the elimination process of some contestants.
“The public is really interested and can’t wait for the contest to kickoff. With all that said we believe this will be a success,” said Haindaka.
