Theatre through the lenses of Sepiso Mwange and Mathias Becker

Rehearsing Mwange/Becker reveals another level of theater and here is how!

Coming this August is the first premiere production for the season Rehearsing Mwange/Becker and here is why you should not miss it!

Sepiso Mwange and Mathias Becker are rehearsing encounters with each other, themselves and the audience, with their histories, their differences and their common point: theatre.

Mwange and Becker investigate theatre as a space of knowledge. They reflect on their own experiences and the formation of knowledge in the theatre space, seeking to learn more about performative practices. The audience is invited to join this performative experience – a devised work combining performance, mixed media, puppetry and documentary theatre.

Rehearsing Mwange/Becker is an NTN premiere co-production with the Goethe- Institut (International Co-Production Fund) and is further funded by the Cultural Office Pankow Berlin and Schaubude Berlin.
Devised and performed by Sepiso Mwange, Mathias Becker; Dramaturgy: Yasmine Salimi; Dramaturgical advisor: Nelago Shilongoh; Sound Design: Karl Ehlers (aka LOFT); Video Design: Martin Amushendje.

Rehearsing Mwange/Becker will be staged on 29-31 August 2019, at the NTN Backstage Theatre, 19H00 on all evenings. Tickets are available at Computicket, N$ 100 for general access, & N$80 for students and the elderly.
