After a whole year since his last album Forgiving Is Healing back in 2018, the gospel artist Alex Shiwayu is on his fourth album.
This time, Alex is back with another album that is talking directly to the youth, telling them to change their lives and turn to the Almighty. Speaking to the artist, the album is called This Is My Story.
“He wants to tell the youth to put their trust in the Lord and only him. For he alone can transform whatever mess they face into a message.” Shiwayu said.
Shiwayu collaborated with a variety of artists such as Tony the Poet, D square, Maranatha Goroh, Vuyo Pride and Dee A to name a few.
” I’m making sure this album gives your guys a taste into my life as the title says This is My Life.
“I just feel that I have a lot to say to young people and to preach to the world,” he said. He added that he wants to heal the broken hearts with this song, and bring them back to God.
We Are Running Out of Time is his favorite album track. “This track is about talking to the youth, telling them to wake up and come to Christ,” Shiwayu said.
According to the gospel singer, there is a lot of disturbing scenarios playing around Namibia particularly from the youth and on his album, some issues are addressed.
“It hurts my heart when I see how the Namibian youth are leaving in sin. The ones who hurt our sisters are our brothers who are supposed to help them. Today’s youth are busy killing each other and getting babies dumped, ” he says.
“With this album I’d like to touch the shattered youth’s hearts and tell them not to give up and to entrust their lives to the man above” Shiwayu stated.
