Namibian artists taking the initiative to tackle social ills
Singer Top Cheri recently expressed on her twitter the disheartening figures of teenage pregnancy in Namibia. The Johnny hit-maker then asked fellow artist Lioness to join her on a school tour to talk to girls.
Lioness who recently dropped her Meme visuals agreed to be part of the initiative and said “lets go speak to our queens”.

The tweet became popular with members of the public and other entertainers including DJ Maggz of Afroberries expressed interest in the idea of speaking to girls on teenage pregnancy and Sunny Boy retweeting the post in agreement.
While others cautioned the talks not to exclude protective measures condoms, others suggested that their areas of expertise be incorporated in the program for them to join the movement.
Teenage pregnancy has been on the rise in the past decade. It was recorded by the ministry of health that in 2018, a total of 3981 young women visit clinics and hospitals for antenatal care.
