Top Cheri sponsors song and performance for the children
Top Cheri is in our good deeds book today as she donates her time and skills to a cause she is passionate about, which are children. The singer recently shared her selfless love in a post announcing her new ambassadorial job for the Children’s Book Awards and launch of I Am Key Media. In her post, Top Cheri stated how happy she is to be affiliated with the project.
I am the key children media also expressed its profound gratitude to Top Cheri, for the generous contribution. Top Cheri’s sponsorship includes a composed theme song titled Dream, which she will also perform at the launch on 13 April at the National Independence Museum starting at 10H00.
“After witnessing our struggle on Facebook, Top Cheri volunteered her talent to assist us by recording a song for the awards and to assist the organizations in raising funds by performing for free. She shared her experience of her own book journey and offered to assist in this project and the promotion of the books. We did not have an entertainment budget for the event and we have children traveling from as far as Aranos, Ongwediva, Otavi, and Kunene and we wanted to give them an experience. So we are sincerely grateful for this wonderful gesture,” said Ndahafa Hapulile the executive director of I am the Key Children Media.
I am the key children media is an early childhood developmental Project which uses media as an educational tool for children that was launched in 2013. The “I am the key” brand is created with a mission to strategically involve children in the socio-economic development of Namibia, by creating strategic platforms for them to engage, participate and contribute. I am the key children media promotes education, culture and children’s rights whilst laying a strong foundation for the realization of their dreams.
The Namibian Children Writing Competition aims to create an environment of inclusion and participation for children in Namibia by providing and express themselves through literature. The Namibian Children Writing Competition project is a necessary catalytic approach to cultivate a knowledge-based country.
