20-year-old model and youth activist Tuilika Andreas from Walvis bay was crowned Miss Beauty Africana 2021 through an online voting process on the Beauty Africana App.
“We had to upload a picture on the app with the #Face and use the app frequently to promote Africanism. I successfully qualified for the online voting process that took place on Instagram, and that is where my win was determined by votes and following. On the app itself, where all contestants registered, there were over 2000 contestants from all over Africa. 100 of us made it to the Instagram online voting,” she explained.

According to Andreas, she initially entered the competition in hope to broaden her networks across the continent and to encourage her fellow youth to believe in themselves and to follow their dreams fervently.
“ I believe that having solid networks is one of the most underrated yet paramount accessibilities to have as a young person trying to grow within the African context. Winning this contest also means that my brand of igniting hope in others, regardless of where their from, is going to play a pivotal role during my reign,” she said.

Her responsibilities will circle around making the agenda known and utilized. It involves magnifying the recognition of creatives and reinstalling hope in their abilities promoting the concept of African beauty, culture and diversity.
The Beauty Africana platform is one which promotes digital hope for creatives all over the continent. It aims to bring together those who wish to enhance their abilities via social networking. One of its core aims is to digitalize entrepreneurship for creatives by connecting and empowering creatives, models and fashion enthusiasts all over Africa.
