Ukraine based model yearns for support from Namibia

Josia Andreas says his own people are sleeping on him as an International model.

The Namibian modelling industry is growing and models have been representing the nation on international platforms knowingly and unknowingly. Models like Josia Andreas have been representing the nation abroad but feels like the nation is sleeping on him. Josia Andreas a Namibian, Ukraine based model and a medical student got his major modelling breakthrough in 2018 while in his third year of studies. He has ever since been building on his image and has been representing the nation all the way while giving his over 193 000 Instagram followers the content that they deserve from all the modelling gigs he scoops.

From signing with modeling agencies in Ukraine to becoming an Independent Commercial model, the soon to be doctor had the opportunity to work with big brands like Huawei, Trowers, Granolaland as well as Honours in Ukraine. The international model says he was triggered by the lack of support from his own people despite warm welcome by the ukranians.

“I’ve done so much as a Namibian model in Ukraine, working with big brands and not even a single article about me. It hurts. I don’t walk the ramp like other models I serve face, I give it all! I represent Namibia, Africa and I’m noticed this side. It will warm my heart if my country Namibia recognises as well,” says Josia Andreas.

The model promises to keep on representing Namibia and encourages everyone to embrace their individuality.
