Watch: Men’s Conference Namibia officially launched

It is more than just an imaginary event.

As a movement taking place all around the world, the Namibian men to have said enough is enough and have committed to organise the first Namibian Men’s Conference.

At the media launch last night, it is said to be that the annual Men’s Conference that is being organised by courageous young people and various stakeholders is indeed to promote sound men in society.

” A man who knows that his authority is not to drive anyone down but rather to help them grow for equitable and sustainable socio-economic development. At a time when much focus is being directed towards men, in particular, we want men to reflect on their role in the patriarchal society that defines our country, ” says the organisers.

As an organiser, activist Goerge Kambala one of the organisers said that at the Men’s Conference event, men will gather to get inspired, challenged and refreshed for the future.

” We truly believe that something significant happens when men gather for a common goal and we want to see men grow in all areas of their lives to be all that God has called them to be, ” he said.

The conference will take place at the Windhoek Country Club on 6 June and it is open for boys and men from the age of 15. Ticket prices are yet to be confirmed. The team is encouraging members of the public and corporate to sponsor the prestigious and much necessary event. For more information, follow their social media pages!
