The 2021 Toyko Paralympics is currently underway in Tokyo, Japan and it seems that the Namibian team is ready to bring back some medals again.
And just like the able-bodied athletes, the Paralympians came out and made a fashion statement with their entrance attire at the opening ceremony.
They wore a colourful African print shirt with black pants as well as ‘veld skoens’ which were designed by kwaito musician EES. “VERY PROUD MOMENT. When the Namibian Para-Olympics team walked in with my #NamFlava Vellies shoes,” EES wrote on his Facebook page.

The games are scheduled to take place between 24 August and 5 September 2021.
