Windhoek-based MultiChoice Talent Factory participant, Data analyst, Global Shaper and rapper, Stefanie Garises AKA Römi is sharpening her music production skills. This, according to the Coffee singer is to enhance her music quality and adjust to the new normal with the MultiChoice Talent factory production classes.
Although film and television production differ from music production the artist saw an opportunity to learn and improve the quality of her music.
“As an artist, I need to put out a lot of visual content and this has shown me ways to plan my content better, fixing lighting and editing amongst other things. Most of these things I am learning were things I’d questioned and clicked immediately from my experience when being directed in my music videos, ” she said.
She further advises anyone, both skilled or unskilled to sign up for the classes regardless of the profession, as she feels that information is better transmitted through clean and precise videos.
“It is a training tool that you can use as a medium to share your creations with the world. I do not expect anyone to be a full-on producer, but understanding the working parts of film production will definitely give you an upper hand because everyone is fighting for everyone’s attention and if you can do it in a more concise and dynamic manner will win at the end of the day,” Garises said.
Furthermore, the artist is working on a project with the skills she has acquired from the classes.
