WATCH: Yessonia reveals mental health coping tips

By Jeoffrey Mukubi

Afro-pop musician and a member of the glitterati, Yessonia has been dropping some gems on how to take care of oneself lately on social media. She wrote “It’s really ok not to post stories etc. at times. It’s your life your pace! You are allowed to rest bafwetu. Archives and memories can also rest.”

The Bonnie and Clyde singer then posted a video to answer the questions to why she books herself in hotels in her hometown.

“I’m taking care of my mental health. I appreciate spending time with myself. People think that it’s always about depression and stuff, but no, for me it’s all about taking care of myself. Just like you take care of your physical self you should also take care of that, ”

She went on talking about feeding the mind with positive things and realigning one-self before dropping another bombshell saying that some people think that she’s just with a man. “Even if I was with a man, I’m an adult, a grown-ass woman and its petty for people to say such things, ”

Nonetheless, Yessonia seems to be rejuvenated and one can only hope she brings us more music in 2021.
