Star on the rise Yessonia recently launched her latest single Bonnie and Clyde which, according to the singer is based on her newfound love.
The song and visuals which feature Afropop artist Don Kamati follow a young troubled couple who at the end of the day will do anything to save each other. Speaking at the launch, Yessonia who’s previous relationship was publicised has kept her current on the low and so far only opened up about it in Bonnie and Clyde.
“We have each other’s backs and would do anything for each other just like Bonnie and Clyde through thick and thin. So I decided to put it in a song,” she said.
Working with some of the best in the game and pulling all efforts to a united creative industry, Bonnie and Clyde visuals festure wardrobe by removed designer Miles Meroro, make up by Suoma Katshuna, the Namibian police and is directed by Maria Nepembe. Commenting on the video, Nepembe who was excited to work on the project and when as far as ensuring that the stars were fit for the scenes says the production was a revelation and urges more women to take up space in the field.
” Working with Yessonia was amazing; she’s open to positive criticism. We had to bring in a choreographer who helped ensure that the scenes are as realistic as possible. It was amazing, ” she said.
